Kabir is the veteran technology executive with 12+ years of experience in leading teams and building e-commerce, consumer software products. Currently, he is Head of Product Management for Brand Shopping experiences at Amazon. He leads a team of product managers, software developers and UX designers that build customer-facing shopping experiences for leading brands on Amazon. As part of Amazon Advertising, he works with small, medium and Fortune 500 brands to represent their products and brand messaging on the Amazon website and mobile apps. He partners with Inside and Outside advertising sales teams, Go-to-Market product marketing teams and sales support teams to create products for brand building for the biggest brands in the world across FCMG, electronic and devices, media, apparel, and consumer categories. Kabir advises on online advertising, software development and product management.
In his previous role, he was the Principal Product Manager for Amazon's mobile app, where he led a team to build all of Amazon's apps across mobile, tablet, wearables and TV. Kabir has worked on the Amazon mobile app on iPhone and Android, iPad, Fire tablets and Android tablets, Apple TV and Fire TV and Apple Watches. Before that, Kabir was a Buyer for the Pet Product category at Amazon. He delivered 200%+ YoY growth for the category and worked with large CPG pet brands such as Nestle Purina, Hills and MARS, as well as smaller specialty brands such as Orijen and Blue Buffalo. Kabir managed the businesses of these vendors on Amazon across pet food and treats, pet toys, hard good and aquatic products. With a 10-year tenure at Amazon, Kabir is an e-commerce and technology veteran and can consult on the Pet Products industry, e-commerce at-large, vendor/manufacturer management and negotiations, product management, software development and UX design/research.
Prior to online retail, Kabir worked at Ernst & Young in their Complex Securities Valuation practice, where he performed financial engineering to value debt and equity instruments for merges, acquisitions and financial reporting purposes.
Kabir graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Organizational Psychology and Development Economics. He grew up in New Delhi, India and advises companies looking to enter the Indian market. He is based in San Francisco, California.
